Review
Trap Console is an SNMP trap management application which allows users to visualize SNMP traps in a human-readable form. Trap Console can be used in conjunction with other network management applications to provide structured trap handling through filtering and selective forwarding of the SNMP trap traffic. |

New features and fixes included: -Improved environment setup for "Execute external application" Action Preferences-Variables page has been redesigned and configuration settings modified to separate system settings and user overrides. System environment variable values can be reloaded without the need to define previous user modifications again. Rule list evaluation order defined Rules are evaluated in a defined order. Rule can be defined as exclusive, stopping further rule evaluation and processing. SNMP command line utility Add-on SNMP management application. This SNMP command generator utility for agent management supports all protocol operations, can log and decode received messages and work with prepared parameter files. SNMP Set request action New trap action 'Perform SNMP Set request' for generating SNMP Set-Request PDU message, eventually parametrized using information from received trap. MIB object browsing available. Fixes and minor modifications requested by customers - Workaround for a problem with fifo handle left open after application exited normally. (some linux script interpreters) - Fixed web page form for 'Write trap to the database' action. - Various web interface fixes and improvements. - Trap parser accepts more of the recoverable BER encoding errors,ignores failures in varbind parsing unless they affect subsequent varbinds. - Removed UDP receiver buffer size setting for incoming packets, handles packets up to the UDP defined size limit. |
